Originally from San Francisco, California, Ken first heard about the Seattle Clemency Project from his mentor and SCP board member, Paul Heer. Having an interest in criminal justice reform, the opportunity to learn about the injustices we have in our system and how he could help as a SCP volunteer intrigued Ken. Ken is currently working at the Seattle Municipal Court Resource Center where people who have recently been released from prison can be connected with social, mental, housing, and job searching services.
At the SCP, Ken is charge of updating and maintaining the website. Ken is working for the SCP because he sees a great need for relief in the criminal justice system and clemency is one way we can begin to explore alternatives to punitive justice. He also wanted to gain nonprofit work experience.
Ken’s hobbies include reading, as well as playing and watching basketball and his favorite thing about Seattle is its weather. He has a great interest in social justice issues and criminal justice reform
