Jordan Casey
Pre-release Reentry Specialist
Jordan joined the Seattle Clemency Project as a Reentry Specialist in 2022 while simultaneously completing her undergraduate degree in Law, Societies & Justice at the University of Washington. She works with incarcerated clients, their loved ones, and attorneys to develop concrete, holistic reentry plans for clients going through commutation, juvenile parole, and resentencing processes. As the child of a formerly incarcerated individual, Jordan has overcome many challenges in her life and personally witnessed the roadblocks suffered by her parent. She brings a unique perspective and understanding to her work with the Reentry team and its clients and values the importance of finding meaningful avenues for people to be relieved of serving long sentences when they no longer serve the purpose of justice.
